Why Be What You Are Not?

I have made mistakes, learned from them and I will continue to do so. We all make mistakes. We all have our faults. We need to remove this image we have of what we think perfection is and live lightheartedly, humbly, and fun!

We need to laugh at ourselves and not take life too seriously. Life is a lot of fun when we care a little less about things that don’t matter. The Virtuous Woman isn’t about being better than others, but about being the best that we can be! It is about being better than what we are doing now that doesn’t satisfy our soul.

This isn’t an elitist blog. Those kinds of blogs can make us feel bad about ourselves for doing anything different. I want everyone to have the freedom and space that they need. I am not going to manipulate you or coerce you into thinking the same way I do. I don’t need you to! I don’t want you to – that kind of sounds creepy anyway.

I am not going to tell you how to be proper or live the “right” way. Being proper sounds boring anyway. Let’s have fun, but let’s also respect each other! People will have different opinions on what they think is proper. I don’t worry so much about other people. I let people live their own lives. For example, I don’t shave and many people will find that gross or not proper for a lady. I don’t care and I do what is best for me. That is what I mean.

Also, many cultures view what is proper and not differently. When traveling it is smart to be aware of the culture of the country you are visiting and be respectful.

We are all beautiful and unique. We should enjoy our differences that make us unique individuals. Being virtuous means having high morals and values. Despite the many differences in choices people make in life, a lot of people agree on kindness, love, respect, etc. This blog will share what living a virtuous life means for me, but if it means something different for you that is okay.

It doesn’t matter if you want to be a mother or a homemaker or not one day. You can still learn something from this blog. For those that do want to do those things, you’ll of course also learn something here! I don’t want anyone to feel ashamed of doing anything different. These are just my ideas and you have the right to have your own!

Also, I would like to make a point that this blog will not be about shaming others. For example, just because I like to dress a certain way, but you dress differently doesn’t make you (or me) any less of a woman, mother, wife, homemaker, etc. Embrace your own unique style. Just because we are or plan on being homemakers doesn’t mean we have to be the same. That would be boring. We don’t and shouldn’t think we are less than anyone else, stupid, or incapable. Don’t compare yourself to others. Just be yourself and do what you want. If someone does something you want to do, do it! If not, don’t! Make it your own. It’s YOUR life! Do what makes you happy.

That is all we really can do anyway. Take care of yourself and the ones close to you.

I send my love into this world! I hope you enjoy this blog.

Thank you very much!

Are Your Dreams Your Reality? + Nature

Plato was right when he said, "An unexamined life is not worth living". Examine your life. What makes you happy? What brings you joy? What does not? Act accordingly.

Is what you are doing right now bringing you true joy? Are you happy with what you’re doing in life? What gives you purpose? What gives you a reason to live? What gives you meaning? Really think about these things and see if how you feel and think aligns with your actions and the way in which you currently live your life.

For me, one of the things in life that gives me a reason to live is Nature. The beauty seems like it is out of this world, but it is not! It is ours to enjoy and thrive with. Notice how I said thrive with? Yes, we need to protect what is sacred to us. Personally, I feel great when I am breathing clean air, listening to the wind or the sounds of birds, and feeling blessed by the beauty of it all. The sun shining upon me and filtering through trees. The wind blowing on me. It brings me a greater meaning in life when I see everything working together. That’s what we need to do. We need to work together instead of against each other. Otherwise, we will just perish as a species.

We are a part of Nature. Our toxins not only pollute us, but other living things as well. That is how we are a part of Nature. We affect the whole. Be considerate. Be aware. Whatever we do only comes back to us anyway. Wouldn't we rather give love and receive love than give hate/receive hate? When we take care of our planet, we are taking care of ourselves and future generations to come. Don't you want everyone else to enjoy a beautiful planet too? Let's not trash it first!

We shouldn’t push our luck on this planet. We should tend to it and love it and care for it. Just like we would with our children. Respect Nature for the beauty, nourishment, and wisdom it offers. Of course it is up to us to see that and appreciate it.

Other reasons that I believe are worth living for are helping others help themselves, working on ourselves to be the best that we can so we can contribute something to this world, and for those in relationships, having strong relationships with our partners that mean something.

With my boyfriend we grow together and learn from each other. We want to be in this relationship together and eventually have our own land and family. That’s our shared dream. I am very grateful that I have found someone to live out my dreams with. I have thought about this ever since I was a little girl despite not having any role models to look up to.

My hope is that through this blog my writings can be an inspiration for like-minded young people to live the life of their dreams even if it goes against the grain today.  All ages can learn from this blog. I have much more to come. Stay tuned!

Thank you so much!

About The Virtuous Woman

Hello women (and men) from across the globe! Welcome to The Virtuous Woman.

I've decided to create this blog because I wanted to read a blog like this! I am a young woman who believes in the importance of a strong and loving family. When our families are broken, our society is broken. That is what I am seeing today.

I wanted to read a blog or find other women who are fairly young like myself, but interested in traditionalism, starting families, seeing the importance of homemaking, being virtuous, etc. I wasn't able to find much of anything so I decided to create my own!

This isn't a religious blog and I welcome respectable people of all faiths and backgrounds to join me.

I really hope you enjoy my posts and can take something from them. I put my heart and soul into them so I hope you can leave a comment or share!

Thank you very much for stopping by!

It's Not About Me, It's About All of You!

When I share advice or wisdom, it is never about me. It is always about you. I am not telling anyone how to live their lives. I am simply sharing my suggestions and ideas for others to hopefully be inspired by. We are all different and unique in our own ways. That is what makes us beautiful. We shouldn’t live like we don’t have a mind of our own. We must think for ourselves. When it comes to all aspects of life, we must only take what we need and enjoy and leave the rest. Otherwise, we are not living true to ourselves and that can create problems and stress in our lives.

Everything I say may not resonate with everyone and that is more than okay. I don’t read something and agree with every single thing written. These are merely my ideas and I urge you to express yours! Share with me your opinions and thoughts. I think when we do this in a respectful manner everyone can benefit. Even if it is just opening our minds to a different way of life. I love to learn and understand different ideas and topics. I use the same principle I told you to live by, I take what I need and leave the rest. Sometimes I may disagree with something, but find myself interested in it or agreeing at some point later in my life.

That’s why it is important to pace ourselves when learning to a speed we feel comfortable with. When learning (or doing anything in life) and we feel it is time to take a break, take a break. We don’t have to follow someone else’s path. If what they are doing isn’t working for you, do what works for you instead! It is really that simple. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. No one can dictate how you live your life.

For example, I read a Christian blog and find myself enjoying a lot of what she writes. However, I am not going to become a follower of that religion. I stay true to myself and take what I like and leave the rest! It’s fun doing this. I have shown myself that I have a strong sense of who I am and will not be influenced by external things. I think and act a certain way because I have decided to. This doesn’t make me uptight or no fun. I have just decided to be considerate and aware of my behavior and surroundings. I do that because I want to.

I am not a perfect human being, but I strive to do the best that I can. I strive to uphold values and morals that I believe in. I do this because I care about others. I have created a simple formula to create a better and beautiful world for all. Here it is:

Strong Individual → Strong Relationship/Marriage → Strong Family → Strong Community → Strong Nations → Strong World!

I am going to explain my formula in greater detail in future blog posts.

Thank you for reading! Stay tuned!
